THANKS FOR A GREAT 2018

Thank you everyone who supported DHP in some way during 2018. It was an awesome year and I hope 2019 is even better. As we all get ready for the countdown clock I wanted to make a few announcements on our way out.

  1. A batch of Apalala just shipped out westward for what will no doubt be an amazing collaboration. A guest artist (UPDATE: Paul posted on IG...pic below) will be painting these mint green with green glitter vinyl base toys. I will most likely release a few blank unpainted ones on my website once the painted versions are ready. Stay tuned.
  2. Apalala also will be joining the Crawlah Club. What is the Crawlah Club you ask? Well check out Eric's Facebook, Instagram and Webshop for all the details. Look for some stickers and maybe a microrun or two in the near future.
  3. We didn't get to see the debut of Mara in 2018 but hopefully she makes an appearance soon. I am feeling good about 2019.
  4. And finally...let's talk about the illustrious Japanese fight figure...the whole reason I got into the JP toy game to begin with! Sadly the good old days of the fink shit, Secret Base, Real Head and a few others are long gone. Well, as Dee Snider and the rest of the TS crew said, "we're not gonna take it"! Look for some big news from DHP in 2019!

ALAVAKA VANAPRASTHA

DHP is excited to announce another collaboration with DSKI ONE. This time Alavaka wanders the deserts outside of Mesa, AZ as he looks for the perfect spot to sit and reflect. The Vanaprastha aim to give up worldly life and such is the way for Alavaka as the sculpt prepares for retirement this year. See below for official Lulubell press release.

"Alavaka Vanaprastha" is a new micro run of Alavaka by Devils Head Productions, painted by Dski One. This release marks the start of journey to the bodhi tree for a long rest for Alavaka, who made his debut back in 2013. Alavaka will be making a few last appearances in Fall of 2018 before resting undisturbed and contemplating his future for some time. In the meantime, Devils Head Productions has two new sculpts in the works for the future, and fan favorites Apalala and Jizo-Anarcho will continue on their material journey with new releases planned for the near future.

In Sanskrit, Vanaprastha is the stage of life and process of giving up the worldly and more material aspect of life, transitioning one's efforts into that of a greater emphasis on spiritual pursuits. Alavaka Vanaprastha is a micro run featuring a ghostly, milky white base vinyl painted with orange, magenta, green, blue and purple sprays with hand painted detailing. Hand poured resin eyes and a lotus flower add a beautiful final touch as he offers his peaceful farewell to this stage of his journey.

Sold blind, with  2 GID vinyl chase figures possible in this micro run. Each toy comes with the standard body and both heads. Dski One pulled this color pallet from the common depictions of the Hindu lord Vishnu. Alavaka Vanaprastha ascends exclusively into Lulubell's online store this Friday, September 7th at Noon Pacific Time (7pm GMT). $80 + shipping, includes alternate head. SUMMERTIME ROLLS 2018

Summer is in full swing and it's time for some summertime toys! First up it's the Summertime Rolls Jizo-Anarcho. Riffing off the very obvious stolen namesake, these Jizo have that awesome chill summer vibe from head to toe. Cast in soft army green Japanese vinyl and painted with shades of yellow, soft blue and silver sprays they go up in the webshop on August 4th.

Up next, it's the return of the Alavaka Bodhisattva D.I.Y. kits. As we prepare to give the molds for this guy a rest there has been one final pour in both Milky White and GID vinyl to let customizers give Alavaka new life. These are the final versions of these kits before they go out of stock so grab some today! Available August 4th.

Finally, a few 1 off Jizo-Anarcho's will also hit the webshop this Saturday. Some crazy cool colorways on both clear and neon pink vinyl. Grab one and own a Jizo that is unlike any other out there.
